I haven't known what to write about the changes I have made, I still don't... But I have moved the Danes (and grandkids) from our home in the woods. After 35 years, Russ and I have decided to no longer be together, and so life changes. Hard... Yes. Impossible... No.

After nearly 30 years in the same home, we have moved about five miles away. We now live on two and a half acres just outside of DeLand. Not in the woods like my old home, but actually in a community.

For those of you who frequent this site, you will notice that I had no pups last year. The Danes had to get used to the noises and cars, the kids and I had to get used to it being just us, and the house had to be changed to suit the needs of the Danes and the kids. Above all, we needed time to heal and adjust.

I would like to assure everyone that this move in no way affects the quality and care at Calypso Danes. To my "puppy parents", I have kept the same phone number and, as always, I am here for you when you need me.

Some good news! I am adopting the children! I have also added a couple of "choice" European Danes to my breeding program, of which, Kira was the first. The result has been exciting!
